The itenerary was great

Sail Date: March 01, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was nice and clean. Our room steward greeted us by name as we made way to our cabin but we found that Princess cruises is more of a nickle and dime cruise than we have become accustomed to. Only having traveled on Carnival before we have become accustomed to the 24/7 soft serve ice cream bar, the towel animals that our room steward takes time to leave in our cabin, and an omlet station at the breakfast buffet.

Pros: We loved the itenerary the best Island to visit is Bonaire. If you want to scuba dive and the excursions are already booked just get off the boat and take a taxi to Bongo beach.

Cons: There is no 24/7 soft serve ice cream and no towel animals.

Recommends Crown Princess? Yes!

Service and Staff
Our room steward Roni was wonderful and only one of the nights we ate in the dining room did we have a friendly waiter who let you know what his recommendations for dinner would be.
Ship Quality
The ship size is grand and every thing was very clean and kept nicely. But once you have been on a large cruise ship you have been on them all. There is a sky bar in the back of the ship but the night we went up to make use out of it they were having teen night and we were told to leave.
Food and Dining
The food at the lunch buffet and dinner in the dining room was much better than we have experienced on carnival. But as I mentioned before the breakfast was lacking the omlet station, and the food was not very good, thankfully there was ceral. We did do the any time dining and never had to wait on a table and only spent one night dining with some other guests, but we enjoy meeting new people so sharing a table was fine with us.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room size was not as nice as the newer carnival ships and the beds in the inside cabin are extremely hard.
I find the on board newsletter the Princess Patter to be confusing as it divides the days activities into sections depending on the casino the pool or bingo. They sneak in some free ice cream in between the hours of 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm but it's not advertised in the Patter. The comedian that performed the last night on the boat was wonderful as well as the piano performer they flew in from Scotland. But as far as the boat shows they were like any other show on any other boat.
