Review summary
This was a last minute cruise for us on a lines not well known in our area. What a pleasant surprise. From the minute we stepped into our varrandah cabin, we knew we were on a clean ship. The bath was spotless, & we really liked the counter space with 3 glass shelves on each side. You don't find this much area in most ships. The decor throughout the ship was refreshing & exciting. Entertainment in the lounges ranged from country western to classical. Something for everyone. This ship had the friendliest casino staff we've been associated with in the five cruises taken within this last year. The most amazing thing was the staff. This being an Italian line, there were many languages on board from English,& including German, Dutch, Italian, French & probably a lot more that I couldn't pick up. And never did I see any passenger have trouble communicating with staff. They were just outstanding. We enjoyed out meals, but found them to be on the bland side, not exciting to the taste buds. Would also like to see more seafood offered. We would also like to see more diagrams of the ship's decks, especially around the elevators. The only info given to us was on a small packet that was terribly hard to read. Maybe something in each stateroon would be helpful. These are small suggestions. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when sailing on The Mediterranea, as we were.Ship experiences
