It was a very clean ship - people constantly were washing the deck / windows / etc. The restaurant, however, was very disorganized. Service there was substandard, although the food was acceptable. Breakfast and lunch had particularly poor restaurant service - slow, large numbers of mistakes, difficulty getting coffee or utensils. Dinner service was slow and confused -- courses were rarely served to the whole table at the same time. The buffet was pretty good with fewer service issues, although we saw several other guests treated rudely by some of the staff. The cabin service was excellent. The room was kept very clean, and the staff was very professional.

Very fun vacation, with lots of activities. Staff was the best and the ship was clean and beautiful.

The ship is very nice even though it's an old ship. The entertainment is fun and it's very Italian-style cruising. However, we had a lot of service issues which were unresolved and the food was mediocre. The kids complained about the children's program "it was boring, Carnival is much better" and were not allowed at all in the jacuzzies. Activities are very limited but fun.

Although the ship is beautiful to look at, there are many problems with it. The ventilation system does not work properly and the maintenance/repair personnel cannot fix it. The Guest Services Desk is unresponsive and is not interested in passenger comfort or satisfaction.

As a European ship there was smoking everywhere. Even where not allowed they allowed them to smoke. Food was a big disappointment. Very few healthy choices- low sugar-low calorie. Buffet was too spread out. Who wants to forage for food? Lack of activities on board. With so many days at sea...they needed more to do. Night time entertainment was surprising good...I had been warned it was not. The Cruise Director is one of the best I have encountered on all my cruises. Good luck to him. Very talented.

Beautiful decor in common areas and nice stateroom.

THE SHIP COSTA ATLANTICA WAS VERY CLASSY AND MADE THE TRIP ENJOYABLE.

Wonderful crew and staff. Would make you feel at home and take care of your every need or want.

The cruise on the costa Atlantica was the greatest cruise we ever went on for many reasons. The food was fantastic, the entertainment fun and exciting, the service was above average, the friendliness of the staff was superb. We will cruise again with Costa and we will tell many friends about our great experience.

Not as clean as should be

The ship was large, clean, well maintained. Had more pools and hot tubs than RC ships I have been on. Crew was mostly Italian--we liked the flair and was also reason we went on this ship. Other ships somewhat sterile. Lots of artwork. They seemed very happy and acted it. Dining room meals were active and exciting. Shows were very good--especially tenor and dancers--loved them! Boarding and de-boarding quick and efficient. Room was ready upon boarding. -Need to control smoking more for those who do not smoke--

costa doses a nice job. But this time things were disorganized and not up to the standerds of our previous costs cruises.;

Older ship. TV quality and channels terrible, not english, no movies (unless you pay $9 each). prepare to be bored

The ship itself was fine. We had more specific complaints than the balcony room.

Service on the ship was good. We were upgraded to a wonderful balcony room. They spoke a bit to much in to many languages but it still was good. The dinners were enjoyable with great company and conversation.

Food was terrible, bartenders were rude. My kids love pizza but would not eat the pizza on board. Lousy Karaoke list of choices.

The ship was ok and we had a fine time. It took us to all of the ports that we expected to go to and we enjoyed that part. We were rather disappointed with the food as compared to other crusies that we have taken. Also, the operating times of the pool and hot tubs and restaurants were not at all adequate. The times of the various activities also continually contradicated each other and prevented us from enjoying many things that we would like to do, since we were "forced" into eating at very predefined times by the ship's staff.

the interior rooms were larger then i expected and the staff were all friendly. the pools were small though and i went on this cruise during spring break; however, there were more elderly people there then students. the buffet was decent and the dinners were good. the food wasn't topped notch but it was still good for the main part.
