Review summary

Our overall experience for this cruise was excellent. Cabin service was great, the shows on the cruise were great....especially the magic shows by Alexander Great and Wayne Hoffman's mind reading shows will be remembered by us all for long time. Some stage shows were excellent as well with dazzling backdrops etc. Cruise director Susan was awesome in many ways. Atrium events were very good too.

My only pet peeves were...great variety of food at buffet but with mediocre quality (tastewise), paying for basic thing like water (which you need for dehydration), very cramped shower stall in the cabin and not enough cold water for shower (which was my main requirement). Another big disappointment was Alfredo's pizzeria in formal Sabatini's restaurant. The pizza cook miserably missed the mark and served absolutely horrible tasting pizzas....this is after getting used to New York and Chicago famous pizzas. Rest is fine.

Excellent.

Cabin / Stateroom

Overall quite good. Shower was too small. Shower water temperature could not be controlled properly. The bedding was good and housekeeping did great job of making beds constantly. Only wished they had provided regular cushions as well. The cabin staff was courteous and helpful.

Ship tip

The pizzeria on the 14th deck should have a little more variety in pizzas. The hamburgers were very good.

redwinos....had a good chuckle at the flip flop crack. Yes, I agree flip flops on men....Not a good look but you would be surprised....some try with their Berkinstocks (sp?). I don't know what is worse....a guy wearing his Berkinstocks without socks with his jeans..... or a guy wearing his Berkinstocks with socks and a pair of shorts!! LOL

Thanks for the reply. About what I expected. Don't mind wearing a suit for the 2 formal nights. No such thing as dress flip flops for men in my world

Redwinos.....I have been on several princess cruises. For breakfast and lunch it's pretty relaxed. Shorts and jeans with t shirts are acceptable. However, not sweat pants or gym shorts (men & women) or tank tops for men. No cut offs for either. Dinner is a bit nicer. Slacks and a nice shirt with a colar for the men. Ladies can wear slacks too or a Sun dress. Dress Flip flops are okay for the ladies....not for men. Nobody is to wear shorts or jeans. Now, I have seen a couple of older gentlemen get away with pressed jeans with a nice casual shirt and boat shoes....but we did see a young lady she had a nice shirt on with ripped jeans and high heels....she was gently told that the jeans were not acceptable for the formal dining in the evening. The same dress code goes for the paid restaurants. You don't have to dress up in formal night to get into the main dining room either.....but you might feel under dressed. Hope this helps.

How strict is the dress code for the dining room? Especially during the evening meal.
