This was my first Celebrity cruise, after sailing only once previously, on Carnival.  I was told to expect better everything.  Better food quality, better fellow cruisers, and better entertainment onboard.  The food quality was fair at best in the buffet dining area.  Runny eggs every day, almost no variation in the breakfast menu day to day, and the nightly buffet choices were limited and common.  The restaurant dinners left alot to be desired as well.  SMALL portions of everything, from a steak that was 3" by 5", to a nightly scoop of mashed potatoes that was smaller than a common ice cream scoop.  The service crew was STELLAR, zero complaints there.  The fellow passengers were better than we experienced on Carnival as well, but the entertainment was the same singer-dancers almost every night in the theater, with little or no other options.  We surmised it was because we had a very port-heavy cruise that they may have cut SEVERAL corners because of it.  All in all, the onboard experience was very boring, but we chose the cruise for the ports of call anyway.
