Great cruise experience

Sail Date: September 02, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

Definitely not a cruise line for kids. Although there is a child's program on-board, the majority of the passengers are older of age and do not appreciate children. We found ourselves many times during our cruise Having to refrain from telling people off simply because our kids were in the pool or laughing or loud because they were experiencing things they had never seen before. hard to tell 5 year olds not to get excited over a school of dolphins.

Pros: Great crew and staff\, accommodations.

Cons: Daily announcements were inconsistent. Some language barrier between crew members.

Recommends Celebrity Summit? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
As all other cruise lines\, quality has been affected and not all food in dining room is as good as it used to be. However\, for an additional charge\, you can eat in one of the specialty restaurants.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was good. Some things outdated but we were able to sleep 2 adults and 2 five year olds.
Service and Staff
Good overall\, there was definitely language barriers between staff members especially in dining room.
Kids loved the shows as did we.
