A nice cruise to Bermuda!

Sail Date: August 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

The Celebrity Summit cruise ship was very nice (I believe it was recently updated & renovated), service & food were very good, shows were great! However, the ship did not offer as much as we would have liked - too many bars/lounges and not enough other activities or venues; not enough fun things for kids (ages 3, 6, 8) unless you stick them in the Fun Center (cruise daycare); disappointed they did not offer more movie options for kids (majority were R rated). The pools are not large enough & sufficient for the large crowds of people, and the pool deck / lounge area gets very crowded & hard to find a chair.

Pros: Celebrity food was very good\, service was excellent & very accomodating\, Bermuda was beautiful!

Cons: Pools\, variety of Activities\, Buffet style dining

Recommends Celebrity Summit? Yes!

Ship Quality
Ship was very nice & well kept\, but maybe the size of ship is too small for the large amount of guests - pool / sun deck / lounge areas get VERY crowded & you may not even get a chair or spot.
Food and Dining
Dining room experience was very nice\, excellent service & accomodating to everyone's needs. Didn't care for the buffet style dining (mainly breakfast & lunch) as much - food was decent\, but too many people!
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was nice\, but bathroom was just okay.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Shows were very good - excellent entertainment & talented crew!
Children's Programs
Unless you stick your child in the Fun Center (cruise daycare)\, there is not much offered or geared to kids. Would have liked to see some other Activities\, Entertainment\, Movies (G rated) for kids\, outside of the Fun Center.
