Review summary

Anything that was service-related, 11 out of 10. Every area shined. Not just asked (continuously) if everything was OK, but made proactive suggestions of how to utilize additional services for cruise enjoyment. Getting the idea that this is how Celebrity does business, but still refreshing and puts a smile on at every example.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Plan on adding many pounds/kilos. Cannot escape. Normandie Restaurant (specialty) takes the otherwise excellent dining experience and raises it, goes all the way to 11.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
You will need an activities manager or assistant of your own to keep the options straight. Plenty to do. Onboard entertainment good, try hard, but stretched a bit thin on this cruise. Even though, some gems among the rest.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cannot stop overflowing about the ships staff. Been on 5 lines, none better than Celebrity. Point is, it is pervasive. Not just a few examples. All contacts were excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Summit is 10 this year, and some of the interior elements are showing a touch of wear. It's a CLEAN wear mind you, as the staff is very attentive to that. A refit is due at the end of the season to update the boat to Solstice standard. This will no doubt eliminate this comment and provide more features.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Wear comment notwithstanding, cabin 8181 has the largest veranda of any on the ship. 270 degree view, dance party size. Cabin itself luxuriously spacious too, and lots of closet space (Family Suite, as are others without the XXL veranda) Not Concierge Class, but staff treats you like Owners Suite. Fantail location.

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Similar to Antigua, welcoming atmosphere, great beaches.
Don't Miss: Snorkel with the Turtles

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Lots of outdoors activities, shopping not so much. Climbing the Pitons and the semi-active mud volcano.
Don't Miss: Bathe in Fountain of Youth Geothermal springs.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Very pleasant. Friendly people, fantastic beaches.
Don't Miss: Antigua Adventures Extreme - powerboat circumnavigation with snorkel and lunch stops. You will get wet! ;)

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Shop or excursion, options abound.
Don't Miss: Day sail cruise to St John.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
America's Cup sailboat racing for those who like watersports or sailing. Port area very well done, they should be proud, great visitor experience.

Pros: Over-the-top Service, all areas. Cabin unique.

Cons: Showing its age a bit
