Great first time Cruise experience

Sail Date: January 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was impressive in how well it was laid out and how easy it was to learn to get around.

Because this cruise was our first, I can not rate it as "The Best" as there is no basis for comparison.

Pros: Very smooth process throughout - great service. Cruising was easy.

Cons: Heavy emphasis on Latino music in all lounges...need more mix.

Recommends Celebrity Summit? Yes!

As stated above, the amount of latino music was overwhelming. While beautiful to hear, it seemed the only real option in many of the main evening events. A bit more variety might help...mix it up a bit.
Ship Quality
The elevators were good but central elevators often would pass by only half full while customers were waiting.
Food and Dining
Food was good, plentiful, and availability strong.
Morning would often run out of coffee cups but were quickly replaced...just seemed to be a pattern. Overall, really good food and food service.
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was excellent and surprisingly quiet with respect to neighbors.
Service and Staff
Ship staff were excellent. Especially our stateroom attendant (Sandy) Sinclair (Mast Bar).
