Additional review of Vancouver to Hawaii cruise by MineName

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

I took this survey yesterday, but I forgot to mention one very important thing, smoking areas. Our cabin was on the seventh deck and the smoking was on deck 5, just below us. Sometimes the smoke rising up to our cabin was so bad that we had to close our balcony door. Also, one corner of the pool area was reserved for smoking. It would be so thick when walking through there that we avoided that corner. The third was on the top deck bar in the rear. One side was for smoking and the other was non-smoking. Again, the smoke from the smoking area would drift over to the non-smoking area and we would have to leave. We noticed also when this happened that the non-smoking area had no one there. We realize that smokers need a place to smoke, but many times in interferes with non-smokers.

Fabulous Alaska Cruise by DinahsMom

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

This was a very relaxing cruise. Two & a half sea days was maybe a half day too many. Others enjoyed whale watching tours. There is an excursion for everyone. We enjoyed the Celebrity experience so much that we booked a future cruise.

Third time on solstice and... by cruiseaddict75

Sail Date: /

Third time on solstice and had another great trip. Food, beverages and service was exceptional. Our cabin was clean, fresh and serviced by our room attendant to a very high standard. The food in main dining and the speciality dining was wonderful with lots of variety. If you are looking for a great cruise look no further than this great ship and it's awesome crew!

Cruise #30 What... by Icemahon

Sail Date: /

Cruise #30 What a Great Cruise. Mark this one off my bucket list. From top to bottom, 2 👍's up. Awesome job from our travel agent Kevin Davis at Cruises Only (800) 278-4737 x77158, to the Celebrity Solstice and crew... The food and entertainment on this cruise was at a much higher level compared to past cruises. The excursions offered were all great, we enjoyed everyone of them. (and some days two ) I just can't say enough good things about this trip. If you were on this cruise and didn't enjoy yourself.... cruising probably isn't for you......godspeed

Beautiful ship and a very attentive crew. Needed the wonderful physicians on the ship and the nurses due to my husband becoming ill with a bacterial infection. The captain was very entertaining with his announcements and played an exciting volleyball game by rboudreaux42

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

As beautiful as the ship and my anticipation to visit my 50th state, I didn’t get to do any excursions due to my husband’s illness. I didn’t see any wildlife but I did get to see the Dawes glacier. I met many wonderful crew members in the shops and the most wonderful thing happened, I won the drawing of over $500 worth of merchandise in the last day at sea drawing

Solstice slightly off colour by gwebsterg

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

6th celebrity cruise. They are penny pinching, no daily news digests printed for guests. No speciality restaurants for suite guests other than excellent luminae. have to ask for fruit in suites. Cannot use beverage package for room service drinks. only 1 device allowed on internet package. generally felt crew arrogant, not as friendly as Constellation. Still had very good cruise/holiday.

Best Vacation Ever by alexmccants

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

The ports, inside passage, and trip to Alaska was phenomenal in itself. However, when combined with the impeccable service from the Celebrity staff and crew, made the trip one of our best vacations ever. They were always so pleasant and made everything so easy for the customers. Celebrity is a step above the other cruise lines.

Splendid scenery, mediocre weather by jcdolphin

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Unlike Royal Caribbean that has the adult only and super fun Quest game , this ship doesn’t do that. The 3 tenors show, Forza, was great along with the Cirque like acrobat show but most of the other shows were lackluster. The lobster and most lamb dishes in the dining room were delicious but many other food items weren’t that good. Pizza in the buffet was terrible. Apple pie in dining room was horrible as well as the pitiful cannoli desert.

Had a great time on Solstice by margaret7400269

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Would definitely check out Celebrity cruise destinations before others. Have to add that the Art Auctions were excellent and all concerned in running and organizing them were amazing, rate them 10 + also our cabin steward was first class.

Cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii by Bruin76

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Cruise was great. Five leisurely sea days, followed by four port days. Excursions were very good. Aqua class was greatly appreciated, which included Persian Garden (thermal suite), private Restaurant Blu and upgraded showers. Daily hor doerves and tea delivery was not necessary since the food options were plentiful.

Our first cruise by Meema13

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

This was the first cruise for both my husband and myself. He was never interested in going on a cruise but this trip surely changed his mind. We are looking forward to booking our next cruise soon. You want for nothing on the ship. Every need is met and every dream is realized. It was our best vacation yet!!

Celebrity Solstice 14/01/18 – 8... by Redanne

Sail Date: /

Celebrity Solstice 14/01/18 – 8 day New Caledonia Embarkation: Excellent embarkation - 15min, welcome champagne on arrival what could be better. Ship information: Absolutely beautiful ship, very tastefully decorated and it was kept spotlessly clean. I especially liked the grass area on deck 15, just stunning and a real treat to have grass between your toes at sea. There were also lots of shady areas outside and a beautiful adults only pool area. Cabin: I chose a Concierge cabin (AFT) 9378. It was a fabulous cabin and had a beautiful bathroom. There was heaps of storage but there wasn’t as much hanging space as I’ve had on other cruises. Be warned, there is no balcony roof so you are in the weather and the outdoor furniture is very weathered. The curtains were a little torn and need replacing. Service: The crew are amazing on this ship and generally seem very happy. Fantastic 39 yr old captain: Tasos Kefetzis, played basketball with kids and table tennis in the atrium, he was very visible and had a great sense of humour. My cabin steward: Kifec kept my room very clean and serviced it twice daily anticipating my needs. The staff in the Martini bar were true entertainers and a special mention goes to Abibi and Kopi. Port tender process the best I’ve had - very well organised. Dining: The food on this ship was excellent. I had some lovely sushi on the first night at Sushi on 5. The buffet was very clean with a great selection of food. I chose the anytime (Select) dining option in the main dining room. It also had delicious food and I discovered you could ask for an Indian menu – great curries. Riedel glassware in the restaurants.Beautiful cocktails in World Class bar and great coffee in the d’ Bacio Café. Entertainment: Excellent vocalists in the production shows. The production show Amade was fabulous, as was the Rock show. The magic show was also of high standard and very funny. There was always something fun going on – pool parties, great music and dancing in the atrium, cooking demonstrations etc. Disembarkation: Smooth – I chose to take off my own bags as I had an early flight Small Negatives: If you don’t have a drinks package drinks are very expensive and in US dollars. As I was in a Concierge class cabin, there were too many in room phone messages. Virus-free. www.avg.com
