A Diverse Cruise

Sail Date: August 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

They never had Ranch Dressing. There are very few shows just repeating ones. The casino had super low payout. Nobody stayed at craps table. They lack in bartenders and the ones behind the bar were slow and some not working. They did not enforce the dress code in dining areas and on formal nights. Lacking on variety of shows\, too many repeats. Ship focused on bars and casino for entertainment.

Pros: Comfortable beds

Cons: Lack of shows\, no Ranch Salad Dressing\, casino payout\, lack of bartenders

Recommends Celebrity Solstice? Yes!

There was definitely a very low variety of shows and activities. Seem to specialize in bars. Repeat shows and very few.
Service and Staff
There was always problems due to the communication problem of your foreign employees. The man in the restaurant did not know what Ranch dressing was and said the Chef made different dressings everyday. The restaurant waitress was not familiar with mixed drinks. Employees speak English but don't understand it. There was always 2 bartenders at a bar but only one working. The housekeeping service was the best of all.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room location was great because we picked the area a year before our cruise. It had a balcony and was a lot of space. Beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was good. We only asked for feather pillows and that was it from them except for room service.
Food and Dining
They do not have Ranch Dressing. It was hard to make the 6 pm dining plan when in ports and we spent money on outside food.
Ship Quality
We were always the largest cruise ship in ports. The ship was very nice and clean. The floor plan for rooms seemed to be confusing so thank goodness for children wall poster identification.
