7 night Western Caribbean
Celebrity Solstice Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Review SummaryThis is a Big ship. The service was top notch and the food outstanding. We were a little nervous because for the first time we took an interior room- that was almost double the size of a balcony room! The dining areas are tremendous and the food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. The servers (Tri and Santos) would always ask how the food was, and was everything to our liking. The room Steward, Marcelino, was as close to having a private butler as you could get. The Ship itself is incredibly clean. Once you get used to the size it isa great experience.
However, on the down side, the pools are not large enough to accommodate so many passengers, and the Solarium (adults only) pool is not heated enough. Its ridiculous really. Finally, don't bother with the on board internet. Its far too expensive and slow. Also, pass on the Spa, again too small for the ship. The food, service and room size were great overall though. Be sure to take fixed seating, and the food in the main dining room is delicious. Muranos is really a great dining experience, although there is no complimentary caviar included with the meals.
Sadly, we were told that Celebrity is eliminating Michaels Club and converting it into a Sports Bar. What a shame, Michaels Club is a quiet respite from the ships open spaces and adds a touch of the class and luxury we expect from a Celebrity Ship.
