Review summary

"Overall the ship and the cruise were very good but there were little things that my family and others we talked to on the cruise noticed that prevented us from rating this cruise as excellent (which most other Celebrity cruises are). Issues included wait staff not being as friendly as in the past and our waiter constantly being critical of my wife if she ordered the vegetarian meal or did not finish her entire entry; slow service in that it took up to 45 minutes to just get or appetizer or salad; ran out of some food items in cafe and tables were slow to be cleaned; fitness center was to warm; guest relations on 3 occasions could not answer our simple questions; departure was totally disorganized (worst I ever saw on the 10 cruises I've been on); party band played in the foyer (vice in the party lounge) which was over crowded with very limited seating and band sometimes only played for 30 minutes; ship was beginning to look a little worn and in need of refurbishment."

Food and Dining

Food was excellent and there was a large variety. Did have a problem with our wait staff being slow and somewhat antagonistic if you ordered something he did not approve of.

Entertainment

Entertainment was good but was not utilized in the best manner or did not perform in the best venues. Party band only played for short periods and often not at night (most party bands would have played in the largest space and done so from 9PM to midnight. This band played for 30 minutes in the grand foyer with limited seating. Comedian was excellent but again played in too small a room and guest had to be turned away

Service and Staff

Wait staff in main dining room was slow and somewhat antagonistic. Other staff on the ship were a mixed bag with more than usual just going through the motions and not exhibiting the usual friendly attitude. Definitely not the usual friendly Celebrity crew

Ship Quality

Ship was in excellent condition but was not utilized in the best manner in that some of the biggest entertainment functions were held in small spaces that could not fit all those desiring to participate (while other areas were not utilized at all)

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5

Mini-bar took up too much space that on most other ships would have been used for drawers/storage

Pros: Quality and Variety of the Food

Cons: Staff was not efficient or friendly
