Review summary

We had not sailed on Celebrity in several years, but remembered the fine food and service. They did not disappoint us. The variety and quality of the food is exceptional for this mid-market ship. The balcony cabin and bathroom were exceptionally large and well maintained. We never passed any crew without them making a pleasant greeting. We especially liked the way the passengers were treated as adults. Ther were no repeated loud announcements to break the tranquility, there was an adults only solarium and outdoor pool, and no wild "pool games". Even with the more sedate atmosphere, the kids on board seemed to really be having a great time - lots of activities for them. Our only small negative was the relative lack of activities during the days. But that is very minor. We appreciated the lack of a "summer camp" atmosphere. We also liked that they did not try to sell drink and other packages every time we wanted something. They told us what was available in bar postings and let us be.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food is the highlight of Celebrity ships.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
This is the only area in which there might be improvement. If you are looking for a high level of planned events, this is not the place. For the average person looking for a relaxng experience it is perfect. Excursions were professionally run.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Although we did not have children with us, we observed a real happy batch of kids and parents. Lots of kids activities that did not intruded on the adults.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Never ran into anyone who did not smile and at least say hello. If someone could not find something, the staff actually escorted them to where they wanted to be.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a super clean ship. It seemed to always be perfect without seeing anyone actually cleaning!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved the BIG shower with a real shower head.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Mayan ruins are a good excursion. The town is quaint and worth visiting on foot.
Don't Miss: Myan ruins

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
A different experience than the other stops. Not touristy. Great if you want to scuba or snorkle.
Don't Miss: Scuba or snorkling. This is their claim to fame.

Pros: The food quality

Cons: Times with few activities
