Outstanding birthday cruise

Sail Date: May 16, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is sleek and modern. Even though it holds 2800 passengers, you never feel crowded. The variety of art work on display in all areas of the ship is quite impressive as is the atrium lobby with its glass enclosed elevators. The AquaClass room was very spacious and comfortable.

Pros: State of the art ship and friendly staff

Cons: We had to go home

Recommends Celebrity Solstice? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
We dined in the Blu Restaurant and it was the best thing about our cruise. The food quality and variety of choices suited us perfectly. The atmosphere was very cordial and relaxed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our Aquaclass stateroom was spacious and comfortable. The room was perfectly maintained by our room steward Ronnie who was always available.
Service and Staff
The staff and officers were very friendly.
Entertainment
The variety of entertainment was unbelievable. From a string quartet to a piano jazz trio to barbershop quartet to a comedy magician. There was something for everyone.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
We love the boardwalk style beach in Phillipsburg
Don't Miss: Orient Beach and Rhino Riders
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
To us this is the most beautiful port we visit. We always walk from Havensight into town and love the scenery. Our main goal in St. Thomas is shopping and we always find something unique.
Don't Miss: For us it's shopping
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We just love walking and shopping in Old Town San Juan. The European feel streets and little shops made us feel like we were in another country.
