EXTEMELY DISAPPOINTED CELEBRITY SOLSTICE
Celebrity Solstice Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Review SummarySailed on the Solstice Feb 2010. EXTREMELY loud creaking and popping sounds in between the walls and ceiling. Many trips and calls down to guest relations. Told they were sold out and no there room available. Talked with the head of guest relations and on the 5th night at 11:30 pm, yes PM, we were told we could move to another room but, only if we packed everything up at 11:30 pm to move. Another trip down to guest relations. Maintenance came to room 3 times while we were there and finally told us this room has had an ongoing problem for over a year. They offered an insulting amount off a future cruise certificate which we turned down. More than half of our cruise was ruined. Not to mention we only got off the boat in one port as we had to sleep the other days when the boat was no moving. We have been on 24 plus cruises, 18 on Celebrity and have never heard this kind of loud noise ever. Impossible to sleep. The insulting offer is enough for us to say NEVER AGAIN ON CELEBRITY or ROYAL CARIBBEAN AGAIN. Not even when we returned home did the on shore guest relations want to keep a repeat customer happy. What upsets me more than the offer, is they have known this has been an ongoing problem for over a year. DO NOT book room/cabin 6233 if you plan on sleeping at night.
