Review summary

Since I was 20 weeks pregnant by the end of this cruise we were limited by the activities we could participate in. We still had a very relaxing and enjoyable time onboard.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our flight to MIA was delayed, so we arrived at the Pier just before 2pm and walked straight onboard after a quick check-in. Everything was orderly and didn’t feel at all rushed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The previous cruise with Celebrity selection seemed to be a slightly higher caliber of food. That being said the options in the main dining room and buffet were plentiful. Something for everyone.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The few activities we participated in were great. We spent quite a bit of time at the solarium pool (no sunscreen needed). It was quieter and generally less busy than the outdooor pools.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw four shows while onboard and two of the four were really good. The third wasn’t really our cup of tea but was entertaining nonetheless. You can tell how much effort goes into planning and prep for these performances.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff onboard was fabulous as always. Our room steward was friendly and attentive. The dining room and buffet staff were always trying to please. We don’t drink, so we didn’t use the bar staff but that didn’t keep us from a chatting with a few of them over the course of the cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I know this ship is getting a redo in January but it’s still in really good shape. Clean and tidy. Could use some paint here and there but that in no way takes away from our onboard experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was clean, comfortable, and had generous amounts of storage. We are younger than majority of the other cruisers so we didn’t mind being a bit further from the buffet and pool area.

Ship tip

Shore excursions did book up quickly on give cruise so I would suggest booking early (especially on the islands with few options).

Ports of call

Kingstown, St. Vincent

Took a walk through town.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

5 out of 5
We walked to a local beach and had lunch at the sandcastle resort. Was a nice way to spend the day.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
Did the catamaran tour and snorkeling in St. Kitts. Lots of fish and rays to see. There was even a shipwreck that you could swim up to. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and open bar onboard the catamaran. The catamaran then took us across the channel to Nevis where we spent time on a beautiful white sand clear water beach before heading back to the ship.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Did the submarine tour that was way more fun than expected. They take you to a small gift shop to catch a ferry. The ferry takes you to board the submarine (that is equipped with A/C and quite spacious). Got to see all sorts of marine life, including a turtle. Be weary if your are susceptible to sea sickness.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Had traveled to this location previously, so we took a short walk around town. Highly recommend the Pitons tours.

St. John's, Antigua

Took a walk through town.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We had a late evening flight, so our room steward told us to take our time on the day of disembarkation. We had breakfast at the buffet and then headed to the lounge for some reading and refreshments while waiting for our number to be called.
