We go in Jan-Feb to get out of the cold. Just wish if people were sick they would stay home!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Getting aboard went smooth. The usual check in, boarding and getting to your cabin around 1:30pm. We had printed our on board check in which makes things go pretty smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food is always subjective. The first day the service was slow and food was cold. There was obvious early complaints because after that it definitely improved. The dining room was good. We were a table of 6 and the large table of 10 always got waited on first. I love the fact you have a waiter, wine steward and drink steward. Something RCCL has eliminated. Over all the food was good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Good service and consistent drinks. It pays to tip you get better service. Just wish they were a little creative. I asked for a cucumber martini and if it wasn't on the menu they say they can't make it.
Solarium
3 out of 5
Wish they would control the chlorine content better. Very high burns your skin and eyes.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We only saw a couple of shows. They literary was very port intensive and we were tired from snorkeling.
What we saw was good. RCCL still exceeds in this category.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward and dining room waiter did a great job. Any request was granted immediately.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
They ship was clean and kept up with. Our cabin was the same. I prefer a firmer mattress but I did sleep on what I had. They had a noro virus going around and they hand sanitizer is pushed a bit much. They need to recognize some people are allergic to the sanitizer but we do wash our hands!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
This cabin was well maintained. We did have to ask them to look at our air and it was fixed that day. Also the water was just tepid and they also fixed that the same day. No noise and nice size for 2.
Ship tip
Why can you not get a glass of wine that is offered in the wine cellar on your drink package but you can't get it in the dining room!? The coffee is always bitter and strong. Good thing we had a drink package. The elite perks seem to go away. You need to realize some of us look forward to these perks.
We did an excursion on our own. We saw the Harrison caves, Gully tour and snorkel at Pirates Cove which included lunch, turtles and ship wreck snorkel and it was great!
