Solstice class ships float class and comfort!

Sail Date: December 27, 2015

Reviewed: 10 months ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

I love love love the Silhouette's sleek style and swanky new decor. Sailed two years ago around the Mediterranean on Silhouette's sister ship "the Eclipse". These solstice class ships are ritzy floating hotels. Even thought they hold 2800 passengers the space and design makes it like you don't even notice extra people.

We love the atrium pool after our excursions and enjoyed the gigantic, shimmering dining room with glass and class abound. Prefer staying on these ships and waiting for an itinerary on the Reflection, the third of these Solstice ships.

Cabin / Stateroom
We booked concierge for the extra room for three people. Didn't get any extra attention. Took two days to get an extra bath towel and repeatedly asked for ice bucket in the evenings. Nice room. Liked the balcony. All these solstice ships have narrow cabins but they're furnished new and nice. TV flat screen is great.

menu has shrunk at dinner to half a page. They could add better entrees and bring back the garlic and cheese pasta sides.
