Disappointed in the Silhouette

Sail Date: November 01, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

While the Silhouette is a beautiful ship, I was shocked at the quality of food in the main dining room. For the most part, it was terrible. One night the entire table sent steaks back because they were too tough to eat. We traveled CC class and the daily O'rderves were so terrible, we discontinued getting them after day five. Not enough storage room in the cabin. Great flat screen television, and really great bathroom in that there are sliding glass doors instead of the clingy wet shower curtain usually there. Disembarkation in Bayone was a nightmare. That alone is enough not to travel on this ship again.

Pros: The Marano Restaurant, Tuscan Grill

Cons: Main Dining, lack of storage space in balcony cabin, entertainment, the Bayone Port

Recommends Celebrity Silhouette? No.

Food and Dining
Thank God for the specialty restaurants, although we spend an additional $300 in them.
They had an Acapella team of four boys who sang doo-wop and should have had their own show in the theater but for the most part were limited to 15 minute shows before dinner and in some of the lounges.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Great crew wherever we went.
