Service needs some Compassion! by Bentley16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Very disappointed in not getting help printing out boarding pass. We did not buy the computer package, but service should come over making a buck! They need a computer & printer like the hotels have for this Purpose.

The Best of the Best! by BunnyCrash

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had the best time as we participated in the activities, toured all the ports of call, went off on our own. We would take in a show or two on previous cruises, however this one we went to all of them and actually ended up on stage, picked on at the comedy show and on the closed circuit tv on board having a ball. We became very popular amongst our fellow passengers. Greatest cruise EVER!!

Not to be missed by LinRot

My favourite island was Santorini. Beautiful but incredibly hot. The whole atmosphere on the ship was electric. The staff couldn't help enough. We've made some great friends and had a fantastic time. We just didn't want it to end!

Relaxing but somewhat boring by wscottcurtis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

this was our ninth cruise with most of the others being on Royal Caribbean. We found this ship to be very nice and relaxing but did not find Celebrity to be an upgrade over RC except in dining.

For the most part, we are not big fans of the Centrum designed ships where several floors are linked together through one opening and each has it's own bar/lounge areas. Whatever is happening on one level directly affects the others and the music is extra loud so that multiple levels can here it. Also, it was the same band there every night with hardly any seating that wasn't obstructed by stairways or columns. Overall, the music throughout the ship was repetitive.

We ate at the upscale restaurants 5 of the 7 nights and found them to be excellent! The main dining room was equivalent to other ships in food choice and quality. The Oceanview Cafe (casual dining) food choice and quality was far above what we have experienced elsewhere.

We found Celebrity to be similar in service to RC and much removed from the glory days when everyone worked hard for their tips. Now, cruise ships are a microcosm of socialism. ALL tips are put in a general bucket and distributed equally. What this leads to is slow, disinterested service everywhere except the upscale restaurants. We cashed tipped those who provided great service and will consider not doing the prepaid gratuities in the future!

We found this cruise to have far less going on than other ships and with a LOT of wasted space. Several rooms/areas never were used that we saw and there were bars that looked like they were closed (and in one instance was closed!) in the evening...again, the focus was at the Centrum. Perhaps this is more a reflection of the patrons than the ship?!?!

St. Martin and St. Thomas are beautiful and have a lot of choices for things to do. We went over to St. Johns to snorkel at a far cheaper price than the excursion. San Juan was of little interest to us. Even having a relative from Puerto Rico did not help us to find anything interesting to do other than the fort (which we saw many years ago).

We had priority embarkation...just like everyone else as this line was the longest but still took only about 30 minutes. Disembarking was fast and easy.

Exceeded all expectations by djagoda

We arrived at the port at 12:00pm and had the fastest and most organized time getting checked in and on board. As soon as we got to our cabin, we noticed how clean and crisp everything was.  We wanted for nothing.  Our floor steward was fantastic, the service in dining rooms were fantastic, the food, the drink package, the shows, etc.  There was not one thing out of sorts.  We are already in the process of booking another Celebrity Cruise for Feb 2015.  I have cruised many times before with other cruise lines and this ship and staff were by far the best.  I would recommend any new cruisers to start with Celebrity Reflection to see what cruising is all about.  Or should be.

A Trip of a Lifetime! by amyjarecki

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This cruise is filled with awe inspiring destinations, fantastic food, wonderful entertainment and time for relaxation. I simply love Celebrity Cruises, and the professionalism of their crew is surpassed by none.

I recommend private tours when possible. The ship excursions can be over crowded, but other than that I have no complaints what-so-ever!

Second Cruise on Reflection by disdawn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We took this cruise the same week last February and enjoyed it so much we booked it again for this year.  We love this ship.  We have been on two other Solstice class ships and enjoyed them as well.

The ship is beautiful and clean.  The crew is amazing. From Captain Bouzakis to the  cabin stewards..everyone is so nice and so hard working.  It really does make all the difference. While we have never had a "bad crew" on an ship, there is something special about this ship.  It just makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.

Some things we love ....

The Bistro on 5 for lunch, especially on sea days.  Cafe al Bacio..great coffee, tea and snacks any time of day! The live music in the atrium each night..Xtasea did a great job.  Tuscan Grill was fantastic and our server Wilmer was the best! The outdoor seating in Ocean View Cafe..love the aft view and that there is plenty of seating.  The beautiful library .  The staterooms are spacious and comfortable and the balcony furniture is very comfortable. The showers are the best..hot water and great water pressure with glass doors.  Our boys had an inside cabin and that was comfortable for them as well.  We were on deck 10 aft.  There are plenty of activities in the Fun Factory for kids of different age groups..3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-17. The staff there is great as well.

A few things  we would like to improve..

More live music and guest musicians.  Guest lecturers ..we miss those and find them really interesting.  The photos seem like a waste of paper and chemicals..i would think with digital photography and the apple TV technology we should be able to just browse our photos on our stateroom TV and choose what we like ..similar to how Disney does their photopass.

Overall, a great cruise and we can't wait to go back again.

Celebrity Reflection: The Best Vacation Experience! by MDLW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Bravo!! The Celebrity Reflection 10 Night Eastern Mediterranean Cruise was one of the best ever. The itinerary and shore experiences, from a cultural, historical, and aesthetically scenic aspect are not to be missed. For those who are frequent cruisers, you will find that this experience is different in the best way. The captain and crew take a personal interest in EVERYONE. Besides the newness of the ship itself with many upscale restaurants, clubs, and bars, there is a lively and cheerful atmosphere and appropriate activities which appeal to people of all ages and cultures. Cruise Director, Alex, is commended for assembling top quality shows and entertainment. Vocalist, Dante Sterling, Big Mike, musicians, singers, and dancers are comparable to performers on Broadway. Our Cabin Attendant, Primo, is the best ever. The Opus Dining Room wait staff was first class. Excellent ratings go to Namik, Melenia, Jasminka, and Limo.

Wonderful Cruise, Wonderful Crew! by Dete48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our fourth cruise, but first with Celebrity, and it definitely won't be our last. It was actually a retirement gift from our son and daughter-in-law, and we couldn't have been more pleased with their choice.  Our suite attendant and Butler were very attentive, and friendly. The ports of call were all new ones for us, so we enjoyed seeing them all.

Entertainment was excellent, as was the food! Highly recommend this line.

Celebrity Reflection exceeded our expectations! by WonderWanderer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My husband, daughter and son-in-law sailed on the Reflection's maiden voyage last October. We had such an extraordinary experience that we sailed the ship again this past March, visiting San Juan, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. In fact, we have booked another European cruise which will sail from Rome on August 19th. Needless to say, the ship is fabulous, the food is great as is the crew. We had a suite so Peter was our "butler extraordinaire" on both cruises. Highly recommend the Reflection! So much fun!

Celebrity Reflection - Great to be back on-board! by julesym7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Reflection

This cruise we made a few new discoveries: the Persian garden, the porch and the world class bar. We enjoyed The Reflection so much we never got off at the Ports. Celebrity is back cruising with safety and elegance at the forefront. Can't wait to go again. This was the best cruise yet.
