Had this been my first experience on Celebrity I would never have returned. I am on the fence as to whether or not I will again in the future since our experience on this cruise was so abysmal. I generally don't complain about things but this was the biggest waste of time and money and was incredibly disappointing. The drink package was a joke, the concierge class was a joke, the room attendant was less then friendly or accommodating. I could go on. Hated every minute of this trip.
Embarkation

It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great - a little disorganized in my opinion.

Food and Dining

AWFUL service!!! The wait staff themselves were ok, but the hosts were not! We skipped the specialty restaurants because the upcharges were ridiculous for what you were getting. Buffet was just ok.
Onboard Activities

We went to the spa - the spa was nice as were the therapists. In fact they were the only good thing about the cruise.

Cheesy!
Service and Staff

With the exception of a handful of people, the staff did not seem happy to be there. We booked concierge class as we had in the past and it was a total joke! Not sure WTH we actually paid for for concierge because it was NOTHING like we had experienced in the past. It was truly deplorable.
Ship Quality

Nothing special about the ship - it was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Concierge Class! HA! What a joke! It was a tiny balcony room with ZERO perks (pillow menu, handheld blow dryer and blended toiletries do not count as perks). The AC was not cooling properly, they knew about it because they said everyone was complaining - they had no fans to offer. It was HORRIBLE! If I could have gotten off I would have. I HATED it!
Chaotic is the only way to describe it. There was no one there to help organize. People were literally fighting and pushing to get on the stupid slow elevators. My partner had to be wheelchaired out because she was so sick and there was no one to assist the poor little attendant who was doing her best to get her off the ship. I wish I knew her name because she was the KINDEST person we met on the cruise.
Concierge is a waste of money. The staterooms themselves are the same as every other balcony stateroom. The daily savories delivered are room temperature when you find them in your room, the embarkation day lunch in the dining room has a limited menu. We’ve done concierge several times, won’t bother again. Specialty restaurants on Celebrity however are worth every cent you pay. We find the buffet to be great for a fast breakfast or quick lunch.
I do have to say that concierge class on Celebrity is a mystery to me, too. When booking our upcoming sailing on Beyond, we chose Aqua class for the benefits that seem worthwhile to us, but my hubs and I couldn’t figure out the value of what we considered very small perks for concierge. I am also certain that broken A/C and food poisoning would ruin my vacation as well.
