Celebrity shows open favoritism onboard!

Sail Date: December 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Celebrity now unfortunately shows open favoritism to suite guests. During our recent cruise\, Celebrity openly showed favoritism to suite guests by reserving a large area of the center balcony area in the theater for suite guests. Celebrity went so far as to rope off the area\, ensure you were a suite guest\, have staff wear white gloves\, and carry in drinks ONLY for suite guests! Everyone expects class differences based on an individuals selection of cabin. However\, everything revolves around the cabin. An example of this is if I choose to have an interior cabin\, I would not expect to have Butler service. If I choose a suite\, this might be an expectation. The extras stop in common areas. When you are in the common areas\, you have no idea who is at what status level on the ship. Not on Celebrity Reflection! This favoritism outside the cabin areas should not be tolerated! Sorry Celebrity\, you have blown it for me!!!

Pros: The staff are all very friendly and professional

Cons: Open favoritism to suite guests

Recommends Celebrity Reflection? No.

Ship Quality
Ship layout was good. Missed the Deck 14 bar compared to Equinox along with the expansive open grass area (Reflection had to have ANOTHER specialty dining instead!).
Food and Dining
Good overall\, but they REALLY want you to upgrade to their specialty dining. Isn't dining one of the big deals for cruising? Why the need for all the upcharges?
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
All staff were very friendly and professional!
Kind of lacking compared to other cruise lines\, but OK overall. iclasses (Apple) were of great value.
