Review summary

We just returned from an 11 night cruise on the Celebrity ship Mercury and would go again in a minute. The ship and our cabin were great and very clean. Service throughout the ship was wonderful. The food, both quantity and quality, cannot be beat. We gained several pounds. The ship went to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Aucopulco, Manzanillo, and Zehuatanejo. We snorkled, took a tour to Taxco and to several colonial towns, and took advantage of the ship's association with some local hotels to enjoy the life of luxury. We considered commandeering the shio to stay longer, but decided against it.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We had to check on some condos for our daughter and got a $100 coupon for food and drinks. Then we went to the beach near town. The water wasn't warm enough so we found a beach bar and enjoyed the sun.
Don't Miss: We liked the tour to San Jose del Cabo.

Acapulco, Mexico

We've been here many times so we took the tour to Taxco, the silver city. Well worth the money.

Mazatlan, Mexico

We went to some colonial towns this time, toured a glass factory, the town bakery and church.

Manzanillo, Mexico

We slept in and missed the tour to the volcano. Wound up at hotel Las Hadas, a top of the line resort.

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

Our secont time here. We went snorkeling at Ilsa Iztapa. The water was walk-in warm and the reef was beautiful.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We've been here many times so we went into town to La Paloma for great coffee and then took advantage of the facilities at the Crystal hotel.
Don't Miss: The Canopy tour for sure.
