Great first time experience on Celebrity

Sail Date: September 19, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was very clean and nicely furnished. The staff was awesome and outstanding, always a smile and a kind word. Staterooms were spacious, thank goodness. Great shops and the food was just delicious. The selections were varied, and there was always a place where we could get food all day long. Outstanding first time on the Celebrity line. I would not hesitate to book again.

Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

Cons: Paying $14.99 for cough syrup, only to find it for $7.99 on land

Top notch - some yet undiscovered talent.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and we did not take any tours. But it looked lovely, even in the rain
Skagway, Alaska
I love Skagway - a nice old western town. We went to the Musher's Camp tour and got a ride on a sleigh drawn by the dogs. Wonderul.
Don't Miss: The Musher's Camp Tour
San Francisco, California
We took the Sausalito and Muir Woods tour. Just beautiful. Coming into the harbor by ship was an experience, passing under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Don't Miss: Everything
Sitka, Alaska
I loved Sitka, small and clean. We didn't take any tours here but walked around town. We went to the historical center and the Raptor Center. Just delightful.
Don't Miss: The Raptor Center
Juneau, Alaska
We went on the Mendelhall/Gardens tour. But we found out getting off the ship that for $7 we could have just gone to the glacier - the gardens was nice but not necessary.
Don't Miss: The Mendenhall Glacier
