Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

Our son and daughter-in-law and two grandsons invited both sets of parents to join them on this great cruise to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary...ALASKA! Our first meal at sea and two of the waiters from our first Celebrity cruise three years ago immediately recognized us and made sure that we were greated and treated "royally" every day. Our stateroom was great as were our attendants, Arun and Harlan, saw to our every need. Everytime we went out and came back, our room was spotless.

The most memorable occassions were the many hours we spent sitting in the Navigator Club watching the scenery enjoying a great specialty drink and the Hubbard Glacier encounter. There are not adequate words to describe the beauty of it and we were so grateful to our captian for taking us in so close to experience it. Thank you Thank you for that day in particular.

The nightly shows were the best we have ever seen. We are not usually much of night owls but we willingly stayed up for those shows. Brent Nixon's special nature presentations were the best I have encountered and then to have available on top of that, the DVDs recapping it all again and again was just super.

Having spent the first two weeks of the month in a hospital, this trip was just what the doctors ordered (they had both been the year before). I rested, I played and i enjoyed. I came back recreated.

I can't wait until I can go again!

Pros: Friendly service from all and the incredible scenery.

Cons: Wasn't long enough!

Skagway, Alaska
We enjoyed the bus tour of the town and the pass. Our guide, a school bus driver from Arizona, was a born comedian and entertained us the entire time.
Don't Miss: The drive up to the pass.
Juneau, Alaska
Our native guide here was really entertaing. We didn't eat ashore and didn't purchase a whole lot. At each stop we were unable to find much authentic local art and other items.
Don't Miss: The Mendenhall Glacier park.
