SO, SO cruise

Sail Date: October 29, 2007

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship needs refurbishing........the furniture is dated and the ship overall needs updating.

Pros: Balcony was nice

Cons: Concierge class did not have adequate pre-boarding and Priorty disembarking procedures. We were just part of the masses even when there was a Priorty service supposedly available!

Recommends Celebrity Mercury (RETIRED) 56? No.

We sailed on the Mercury in May 2005 and we were disappointed to find out that two of the shows were the same as we saw 2 1/2 years ago! You need to rotate the entertainment.
Ship Quality
Cleanliness was good
Food and Dining
Food in the Manhattan dining room was somewhat a disappointment both in qaulity and presentation especially the salads and desserts. Room service breakfast on 10/30, all the food was cold when delivered.
Cabin / Stateroom
The only real problem was that on the one morning 10/31 the shower lost water pressure for about 1/2 hour
