Fabulous Cruise

Sail Date: November 01, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was one of the best cruises that my wife and I have taken. We left from Baltimore and did a 12 night cruise. From beginning to end everything was fabulous. Our waiter ( Bagus ) and assistant waiter (Ryan) were the best we have encountered on any of our cruises. Also our room steward ( Anthony) was always right on the ball. Also we made friends with a bar attendant in the Pavillion night club ( His name was Suni. He was terrific. All of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that your trip was satisfactory. We already booked the same cruise for 2010. More of an older crowd which was fine with us. Would not recommend for younger kids.

Pros: Ports of Call and the service on the ship

Cons: Poor selection of food for the dinner buffet if you were not eeating in the main restaurant

Recommends Celebrity Mercury (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Shiop was pretty clean. Occasionally had some plumbing problems, but they were taken care of in a timely fashion.
Entertainment
Shows were decent but not great.
Food and Dining
Food was excellent in the maim dining room. As I said previously, the selection for the dinner buffet in Palm Springs Cafe left a little to be desired. Hamburger grill closing at 6:00 P.M. was an inconvenience although you could get room service for free.
Cabin / Stateroom
About what we expected. Our balcony room was a little smaller than Royal Carribean or Carnival but we managed fine. Our Stateroom Attendant met our every need.
Service and Staff
All staff was extremely friendly
