The food service (as always) was outstanding. Other than that, I felt like Celebrity over-promised and under-delivered. The highlight of the trip was cruising by the Hubbard Glacier, despite the frigid temperatures. The ship's staff seemed more interested in selling something than ensuring a pleasurable on-board experience -- you are charged for just about everything on-board. All the port shops that were recommended were complete rip-offs. Fitness center was always packed during my four visits. Shows were sub-par compared to most other cruises.

Pros: food service

Cons: onboard experience and excursions

Recommends Celebrity Mercury (RETIRED) 56? No.

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
James was clearly outstanding and should be promoted to cruise director.
Food and Dining
Formal dining, in-room dining, sushi bar, buffet -- all outstanding.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Cold, rainy & windy. Nothing worth seeing.
Skagway, Alaska
Coldy, rainy & windy. The train was way over-priced -- definitely not worth the money.
Juneau, Alaska
Cold, rainy & windy. The museum was interesting.
