Sail Date: March 01, 2014 Ship: Celebrity Infinity Cabin Type: Oceanview Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 3 years ago
The overall cleanliness of the ship was very good with a very friendly staff. The food was good but we felt that the desert offerings were not up to par. We missed the pageantry of the cooks bringing out the baked Alaska on the last formal night. We also missed the grand buffet that we experienced on previous Celebrity cruises. Other than Colon\, the other five ports were interesting. We never visited the Pacific side of Central America so this trip introduced us to that part of the world. We definitely loved Cobo and the colonial city of Antigua.

For this ship's size\, the entertainment was very good. We especially enjoyed comedian and singer from Scotland. We would have liked the ship to have offered movies throughout the cruise.
Service and Staff

The ship staff was very friendly. Our room steward did an excellent job keeping our room clean. The vast majority of the crew always greeted each guest especially in the berthing areas.

This class ship provides a more personnel type of sailing experience. Our room was amidships on deck 03 with only an ocean view. Overall\, however\, we found these accommodations to be very pleasant and good value for what we paid. The ship had to be decontaminated prior to our departure but this effort must have been successful since we were not aware of any illnesses on our cruise. During the first few days at sea all food had to be dispenses on Deck 10 by the crew. This was not ideal\, but as the cruise continued\, more self serve foods were made available.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had an ocean view room on Deck 03. This was the first ocean view room we had ever booked. Overall\, we liked the accommodations and felt it was a good value. Decor was nice and the window was large enough to give the room an open feeling.
Pros: Visting Guatemala and Cobo St Lucas
Cons: The pastries and deserts were below par for Celebrity. Replace the desert chef...
