I am Elite on Celebrity. Therefore I am very familiar with this cruise line. For reasons unknown to me\, this ship's crew seemed to be always disturbed\, or forced to smile at passengers. The Front desk staff never resolved any of the 3 problems I encountered\, until I was forced to get really insistent & almost rude. Customs problems for early disembarkation had to be rehashed over & over again since the first day I got on this ship\, even through there were 136 additional passengers getting off early\, including me. Being very experienced with this process\, I had to inform & insist on the correct & legal procedure be followed\, as the ship's staff were completely incompetent with these type issues. They kept saying we had to & would clear customs at each port once in Europe Zone\, but this never actually happened & was always postponed at each port till we arrived at the next to the last port which has no customs officials on Sunday\, therefore we entered Europe & got off the ship without clearing customs. They finally complied by giving us a letter confirming we had been passengers & had not cleared customs\, as required finally left on my cabin door the middle of the night before disembarkation in ZeeBrugge. For those of you who do not know about getting off the ship in an earlier port. You will need to prove when & how you entered Europe\, as when you attempt to fly back\, at the airport\, you will be stopped & be required to provide proof of entry to Customs officials. This delay couls cause one to miss one's flight. The ship's in much need for a facelift & to have Electrical functions restored\, Elevator\, many call buttons dead\, TV in my room was useless till I REALLY was forced to complain multiple times each day till it was finally repaired. All these things while being made to feel like while I was supposed to be living the Celebrity Life Style on board as advertised & paid for. All this unecessary if & only things had been handled & processed correctly
