Celebrity Infinity Cruise Review
My mother, sisters, and I just returned from a 7-night cruise to Alaska aboard the beautiful Celebrity Infinity. I'm a tough guy to please, and Celebrity and the Infinity crew were more than up to the challenge. Once we got beyond the frustrating embarkation process and hassles of check-in and figuring out where to go and when, the highly capable Infinity staffers kicked into gear quickly and remained operating on all cylinders throughout the duration of the memorable cruise. Our cabin staff (Aida and her assistant Larry, on deck 8), were constantly on the alert for our comings and goings, slipping in to freshen up our rooms practically every time we stepped out. Towels were replaced regularly, beds were made nicely, and our water pitcher and ice bucket were never empty. Very suave. Our dinner wait staff (Tomas from Lithuania, Goran from Croatia, and bar attendant, Daria from Poland), never missed a beat the entire seven evenings. The only phrase I can think of to describe their artistry is "flawless execution." Many other passengers described their main dining room experience as the best they've ever had.The casino staff was also very friendly and customer-oriented. Crew members constantly greeted us throughout the ship. Cruise Director Michael Thomas and his staff were extremely poised, informative, and professional at all times. The entertainment was not just very good but truly memorable. The orchestra/band was superb, the string quartet excellent, the pianist wonderful, and on and on.I chose the Infinity because it was ranked by a popular guide book as one of the very best large cruise ships in the industry. After the confusing first night, all expectations were rapidly met and exceeded--Celebrity's apparent corporate creed. BRAVO!
