What a great cruise! Alaska is beautiful and Celebrity made it a memorable experience for our family aboard the Infinity! What a beautiful ship! The embarkation process was okay except for going from line to line, and we were boarding closer to 4pm! The food was "okay" in the main dining room and buffet area. The service in those areas needed attention as they seemed to drag a little, bordering "I don't care." The ship was "packed" -- 2,000 passengers +. I think they were almost overwhelmed by the demanding passengers. Communication was sometimes a problem. Buffets were shut down promptly at their closing times, sometimes while we were in line -- which was inappropriate! Especially being a service business. The formal dining in the United States Restaurant was spectacular! We ate there every night because they actually cared about your dining experience! Top notch food, service and great European staff, definitely worth the extra money.Entertainment was 1st class! Great shows and talent! We had two kids with us, ages 9 and 6, and they absolutely loved the kids' club. The staff was caring and friendly and activities were plentiful.Excursions were plentiful, yet most sold out due to the passenger capacity on board. the helicopter and floatplane to the glaciers were great!Overall, we were very pleased with Celebrity and would take another cruise with them. I would recommend they work on training their staff on customer relations aboard the Infinity. I would give the staff 3 stars. C. RookeRancho Santa Fe, CA
