We are a family with 2 children, ages 13 & 11. We had two connecting staterooms (inside), and had plenty of space compared to some other cruises we've been on. The itinerary and ports were wonderful and we went on excursions every chance we could. Pre-booking excursions is a nice feature. We also booked a post-cruise hotel stay in Rome and though it was expensive to book thru celebrity, we were glad we did....we really got the VIP treatment getting thru the airport on our day of departure. The celebrity rep helped us every step of the way. Transfers were handled well. My only complaint is with the ship son bought a dull toy dagger in one of the ports and the ship security confiscated it until the end of the cruise. It most certainly could not have been used as a weapon and we had one dissapointed child. I suppose you might find it comforting to know that the ship is very safe, but the whole scene was unpleasant and unnecessary. Otherwise it was a great experience for us all.

Pros: ports/shore excursions

Cons: overzealous ship security
