Being a first time cruise out of Charleston, the schedule for parking and loading the ship was bad. The tickets told you to park at one garage and the port police were having you park somewhere else. This really caused some folks problems since the ticket also stated first come first serve on the parking and people got there very early in the day. There were many, many unhappy people. The company did provide a fine buffet at the staging area along with some entertainment that evernig. Once we were on the ship, the service and attitude of everyone was great. Getting luggage was a slow process as always. Nothing unsual there. We had been on a short cruise on Royal Caribbean last spring and I forgot how wonderful Celebrity is. The ship was bright and clean! The crew spent extra time cleaning. As for food, the fresh fruit on the breafast buffet along with eggs/pastry, etc., was 5 star. We didn't use the buffet much at lunch execpt for desserts (5 star). Afternoon tea was our favorite time. Wonderful fruit, cheese and pastries once again. The evening meal (late seating)was outstanding and the servers knew what our likes and dislikes were after the first meal. One of the wonders of a fine ship like the Galaxy is the fact that there are plenty of quiet places to sit and read or just walk the promenade deck. We are not into staged and/or forced social activities. We usually try and dine alone. This is our forth Celebrity cruise and look forward to the next.Phil S.Richmond, Va.
