Excellent Itinerary, Food, Service

Sail Date: January 01, 2009

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Older ship that is being sold to Celebrity German subsidiary in March 2009. Small staterooms, bathroom, and small but tasteful public rooms. Quality of itinerary, food and service made up for mediocre ship.

Pros: Itinerary to 8 Islands in 10 days, quality food, service

Cons: Average ship, entertainment, lack of Open Seating option

Bridgetown, Barbados
Four Square Rum Factory is worth seeing, it has spectacular gardens and ambiance.
Don't Miss: One of the rum factories, beach

Less developed tourism-wise than the other islands. Beware of longer than 3 hour excursions...they take you to many roadside peddler stands where they beg for money.
Don't Miss: The Pitons, scenery
Oranjestad, Aruba
Good place to rent a car, they drive on the right side
Don't Miss: Natural Bridge on Atlantic side, the desert side
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
The French side, Marigot is better than Philipsburg. Fort St. Louis is good walking excursion.
Don't Miss: The French side, Marigot, Butterfly Farm, dining on Grand Case at beach side
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a top destination in the Caribbean. Well worth taking the path to "Devil's Beach", not as hard as guide said, with spectacular scenery.
Don't Miss: The Baths at Virgin Gorda
Walk the pontoon bridge into town, the most picturesque in the Caribbean.
Don't Miss: Walking around Willemstad, beach
St. George's, Grenada
The nutmeg cooperative is well worth seeing, walking around St. George's, and tasting the nutmeg ice cream.
Don't Miss: The nutmeg cooperative processing station
