Best Cruise!

Sail Date: August 11, 2008

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Celebrity Cruises has their act together. Their staff were very friendly and helpful through the whole 12 days, even though they got very little sleep. The food options were excellent with the exception of breakfast, but I'm not that big of a morning person anyhow so I'll let that slide. Overall, a great experience and a wonderful cruise. Already have my next cruise booked.

Pros: Friendly & helpful staff

Cons: Other guets were very rude at times

Recommends Celebrity Galaxy (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Breakfast buffet had limited selection and the items there were not the best I ever had. The other meals made up for them though. One thing I did find odd was that at the grill they had no cheese for their burgers or tacos!!!

Mykonos, Greece
The Ancient Delos tour was excellent. Highly recommend this tour. If you do not book through Celebrity you will probably miss this great attraction. The tour still gives you enough time to explore the city as well. Exploring the city is an experience in itself that should not be missed.
Don't Miss: Ancient Delos & City Walking
Naples, Italy
Tours to Capri are great. Beautiful island.
Don't Miss: Capri
Santorini, Greece
Santorini has beautiful scenary, but nothing real exciting.
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Tours that include House of Virgin Mary and Ephesus are a must here!!
Don't Miss: House of Virgin Mary & Ephesus
Istanbul, Turkey
The Best Of Istanbul was a waste. The tour guide gave some background info at each place and let you do your own thing. A good guide book and map is cheaper and better, since you can them pick what you see and spend the amount of time you want at each place.
Don't Miss: Basilica Cistern & Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia
Rhodes, Greece
Didn't do a tour, but had more then a good time exploring the old town where the pier is. The Temple Of Apollo is a little bit of a walk, but can be reached on foot in less then 20 minutes.
Don't Miss: Old Town & Temple Of Apollo
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Like any other big city. For minimal cost Athens city center can be reached and exploration on your own can take place. A good guide book and a map are better then any tour.
Don't Miss: Acropolis
