We would not hesitate to book another cruise with Celebrity. The Equinox is a well run, well taken care of ship. It was a pleasure sailing on her. The crew overall is fantastic. The stage shows are fun. Glassblowing was amazing!

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main Dining Room food was very good, service was outstanding. Buffet food was above average but expect chaos if you choose to dine at popular times.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We used both pools and used the hot tubs. The only drawback is hunting for an empty lounger and finding none. Wish there was a way to prevent people from saving chairs and never using them. We saw chairs with neatly folded towels on them sitting empty for hours. We also took the glass blowing class, what a great souvenir to be able to bring home. Something you helped make!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The evening stage shows were all entertaining. We enjoyed all the different musicians we heard.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Most of the staff were friendly, helpful and happy to answer a question, give directions or wish us a good morning or good evening and ask about our day. Two venues on the ship were lacking in all of the above. We found the crew in Cafe Bacio to be rude more than once, going as far as rolling their eyes at guests. The crew at the Martini bar were very unfriendly.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
ship was easy to navigate once we got out forward and aft bearings. All common areas were well maintained and very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was very comfortable. Didn’t feel cramped at all. We had no problems sleeping and never woke up sore from a bad mattress. There was plenty of storage. The veranda had enough room for the 2 of us. We had 2 chairs and a little table. Perfect for coffee and a snack. Bathroom had plenty of storage space and I liked there were shower doors instead of a clingy curtain. There was a small fridge with a mini bar. We didn’t use it, it never got cold. The phone cord to the handset was broken, if we had to answer the phone we would have to make sure the cord was plugged into the handset. 2 minor problems we probably should have mentioned to our cabin steward.
Ship tip
Bring bigger clothes to wear home from eating all that good food.
We had enough time for the Everglades excursion when we disembarked the ship. Riding on the airboat was fun. They also have a small wildlife sanctuary where you can hold a baby gator. After the tour you are dropped off at the airport.
We took a ferry to Playa del Carmen to go to Tulem ruins. Really cool place to visit. What we did not like was the vendors at the ferry port. Very aggressive. Will say anything to get you into their stands. One went as far as telling us he was our waiter on the ship. Not a pleasant experience.
There are a dozen or more stores and stands in a secured area to shop at that can only be accessed by cruise ship passengers. We went on the land and sea excursion. Which included a trip on the Atlantis partial submarine. A visit to the turtle farm. A stop at Hell and a stop at a rum cake store.
FYI on celebrity if the towel is centered and neatly folded, in most cases it was the towel placed there by the staff as they place towels on all pool chairs that may not have them blown off.
