Fabulous pre-holiday Adventure

Sail Date: November 30, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Celebrity provided an elegant, relaxing cruise, The ship was laid out well, with the hallways broken up a bit by an outcropping in the center, which made walking the length seem  not so tedious. The elevators were also set in such a way that they opened away from any cabin room doors. The Corning Museum of Glass had a daily hot glass blowing show/lecture which was unique and fascinating. The specialty restaurants were worth every penny. We found the entertainment, both crew and guest performers, to be better than many others we have seen. As usual, the staff is to be commended for their kindness, and friendly service throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom
The room layout seemed more open than most with significant sitting and lounging space. The closet and drawer space was a little small. The bathroom had closing glass doors on the shelves, and an enclosed larger shower.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Quick and efficient. Checked our bags the night before and picked them up at the end of two flights.
Ship Quality
Loved the interior layout. Missed a promenade walk. The only place to walk was a fairly short jogging track, which was too crowded to enjoy a long fast walk.
Destinations and Excursions
Cartegena, Columbia was interesting, but verrrry hot. Colon, Panama was only good if you paid to go see the locks - otherwise they recommended not even getting off ship due to personal safety issues. Puerto, Limon was a beautiful gateway to the rain-forest - heartily recommend the white water raft trip. Cayman and Cozumel are some of the best snorkelling we have enjoyed.
Onboard Activities
The Corning Museum of Glass is not to be missed.
Really, really great.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Dining room was excellent, the food was good, the specialty restaurants were beyond expectation.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Awesome snorkeling, visit the stingray reef if you never have.
Cartagena, Colombia
Prepare for the heat. Best time in the walled city was early morning when you could enjoy the streets and architecture. The city wakes up about 10am, then enjoy the street activity.
Colon, Panama
A waste unless you pay to drive to go see the locks, Unsafe to venture off the ship, they even advise against it.
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
Go white water rafting - thrilling, and so much fun.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Don't bother with the power snorkel, crowded and no respect for the reef. The guide even walked on the coral. Very disappointing.
Cozumel, Mexico
The three site snorkel from a boat was professional, and some of the best we have seen.
