Review summary
First impression - it took us nearly an hour to check in.. We had to go to Guest Relations to sort out a problem and the first person we saw had an attitude and gave us the wrong information. The emergency drill was chaotic. We were herded into a small area with a TV screen and stood for a long while with no information forthcoming. When we were finally informed of the procedures we were told to watch the screen, but some of us could not see it. After the screening we stood waiting for someone to finally release us from the drill, but this yet again took a long while.
There was a single meeting point for excursions and it was difficult to find the appropriate guide, and on one occasion we were not even told that the tenders were available for us to go ashore to the excursion meeting point.
At the end of breakfast one morning, my wife was eating some shelled walnuts off the serving table and bit onto a shell and broke one of her back teeth. The Medical Department gave her painkillers and told her to eat soft foods and eat on the other side for the remainder of the cruise. I suggest you are very careful when eating such foods as this as this incident is going to be a very expensive dental visit. No one from the Medical Department ever followed up the visit, although we did see the Safety Officer who said he would check with the appropriate staff about the accident.
There were two occasions when housekeeping did not deliver items to our stateroom one of which caused us to miss a special function.
Whilst the ship was very nice and clean, the food good and the staff very pleasant, compared to other cruise lines we have sailed on, our experience on our first cruise with Celebrity has been less than stellar and this will be our last.

Ship tip
There is no guest laundry on board, so take some wash powder and clothes pins as the laundry service offered by the ship is very expensive.
