Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale

Sail Date: October 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Equinox is just the right size ship for transatlantic crossings. There are enough things to do on the ship to keep you busy for the 7 days of the actual crossing\, especially the glass blowing shows on the top deck.

Pros: The Hot Glass Blowing Show!

Cons: The too loud music in the theater.

Recommends Celebrity Equinox? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship is well laid out and easy to navigate.
Food and Dining
The food is OK\, just not exceptional. The main dining room is crowded and noisy. The specialty restaurant\, Murano\, is wonderful with a quiet\, peaceful setting and excellent food and service.
Cabin / Stateroom
The staterooms with balcony are just big enough\, but the closet is small. It would be better if there were no doors on the closet.
Service and Staff
The staff works very hard to meet your needs and is always friendly. The head chef of the Bistro\, Renaldo\, went way above and beyond serving a \"taste of the Equinox\" to only 5 people who showed up after the Galley tour!
Entertainment
It felt like many of the activities were scheduled at the same time which caused a conflict and missing some events I wanted to attend. The volume of the music in the theater was overpowering on several evenings. When we mentioned it\, it did seem to get better.
