Review summary

Overall, a very pleasant cruise with great ports of call.  I would not hesitate to do this cruise again.  The ship is spacious with lots of choices for dinning and entertainment was good, but typical for a cruise.  Specialty restaurants are very good. We stayed in a suite which was comfortable. The buttler and room attendants were freindly and very attentive to our needs.  Good variety of excusions available, but we had booked private tours.  The Ocean Cafe was good, but the food choices did not vary much over the 12 days.  Depending the average age of the passanges, night life may be variable after 10 pm, but the venues will stay open (casino, Sky and Martini Bar) as long as there are passanges using them.  Outside of the Ocean cafe, the staff were a little pushing at getting you to sign up for specialy restaurants.  Biggest flaw was the WiFi, very slow and they charge per minute of use.  The iLounge staff were somewhat arrogant and aloof, but a minor issue in relation to the rest for the staff and the facilities.  Spa staff were excellent and the fittness center was clean, good variety of choices and obundant equiments to use, even on the crowded days at sea.  The casino had a good variety of options but the overall payout from the slots compared to US casinos was fairly low.  Shopping options on board are fairly typical for most cruises.  Planing a trip in May was a great.  Temparture was very pleasant and the crowds were tolerable.  Be aware, if you start in Barcelona, you will hit Rome on Sunday. The Vatican Museum and Sistene Chapel will be closed.  St Peter's Basilica is opened but the lines to get in on a Sunday will kill most of your free time that day. Again, overall, a great cruise.  If I had to choose this again, I would book it starting in Venice and ending in Barcelona.

Don't count on doing much this day of disembarkation, unless you plan staying there post cruise.
