Awesome Cruise

Sail Date: March 26, 2012

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Equinox is a gorgeous ship. The staterooms (we had a veranda) and bathrooms are outstanding. The only drawback on this ship is the small atrium and the crowded pool area. They missed the boat on that one, but everything else about the ship was top notch!

Pros: Everything

Cons: The Atrium. The Costa Rica and Panama stops were disappointing. Both ports were dirty and didn't offer much. Cartegena was a total surprise! Gorgeous but very expensive. Take the Segway tour in the walled city. Fantastic!

Recommends Celebrity Equinox? Yes!

The entertainment has a lot to be desired. The Equinox dancers that did the Circus was the best!! The other shows were very marginal. We heard several other complaints about the entertainment.
Ship Quality
Every inch of this ship is spic and span. Nice layout and easy to get around. The lawn area was nice, but I think it would be better utilized for more pool area. The pool area was very crowded.
Food and Dining
Food was good. I would never do late seating again. Too late. Big disappointment was the Oceanview Cafe at night. They obviously want passengers in the dining room or restaurants as selection was limited. They need to do better in the evening. The breakfast buffet is the best!! When we ate in the dining room, service was impeccible. Food in the dining room was so so.
Cabin / Stateroom
These are absolutely the best staterooms! The bathrooms are wonderful! Only drawback was our mattress needed to be replaced. Lumpy and very soft. They need to get new pillows too. If you need a decent pillow, bring one.
Service and Staff
Outstanding service by each and every staff!
