Very Disappointing

Sail Date: November 01, 2010

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship itself was impressive. Clean and beautifully decorated.

Pros: The Itinerary Saved the Day

Cons: Staff and food were awful

Recommends Celebrity Equinox? No.

Food and Dining
For the first time in many cruises, I actually returned food for tasting awful. The salads were not crisp. The buffet was mundane and room service slow and the food cold on arrival.
Cabin / Stateroom
The size of the stateroom was standard. Nothing stood out, except the sound of the incredibly loud sewage system all night long, rendering sleep elusive.
Service and Staff
There was the odd exception (like our waiter), but overall, the staff was unfriendly, unwilling to help, and condescending.
Ship Quality
Perhaps a bit too big, the ship was not homey. Actually, seemed too impersonal. The grass on the upper deck was OK, but seemed a waste. It was very under-utilized.
I enjoyed only one evening show in almost 2 weeks of sailing. There were guest speakers through the day, talking about the destinations and they were super!
