Review summary

This was my first time sailing without having to deal with a whole lot of kids running around in the middle of the night in the hallways or taking up the Hot Tubs. It was nice to be able to sit back and relax for the holidays. It was pretty fun hanging out and partying with the retirees and others. For the record me and my wife are in our forties. We met some great people and definitely plan on sailing again on Celebrity. Top-notch service.

Embarkation

Process was very quick and smooth. And they were serious about checking your vaccine info which was a good thing. I believe they were verifying if your shot was valid in their system.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent in the buffet. We also did speciality dining at Le Petite and Raw on 5. Raw on 5 is a sushi seafood restaurant. For the price at Raw on 5 we thought the portions were a bit small. Probably wouldn’t go back next time I sail. Le Petite’s meal was plentiful.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
A few stage shows were replaced or cancelled due to issues with the performers. But the bands did an excellent job along with the Dj’s.

Service and Staff

Everyone was amazing!

Ship Quality

There were people constantly cleaning and disinfecting areas especially where people congregated.

Ship tip

If you are younger and like to party a little hard this may not be the ship for you. There are a lot of retired couples onboard. Also it’s not a cruise for little kids unless you have to bring them. They do have day rooms for them but there is no slides are pools for them. So if you want to relax without a whole bunch of noise or teenagers running down the hall at 2am this is the cruise for you.

Disembarkation

That was the fastest I have ever made it off the ship. You didn’t need to pull your passport out. They were using face recognition technology.

Also I forgot to mention there were 1100 people sailing on this cruise. At full capacity the ship sails with 3300 to 3500 hundred. So there was plenty of space to where people were not on top of each other.

Glad you enjoyed your experience without kids running down the halls. Now if we could stop the drunk adults from being loud and knocking on doors in the middle of the night, it would be great

Thanks for the review. Hoping to have at minimum the positive experience you had while cruising. Hoping all goes as scheduled for March.🤞

Thanks for sharing . I sailed celebrity years ago in Europe. I was only 38 and my ex was 41. We were definitely the youngest and no kids in sight. I am thinking of booking this ship for a Caribbean 5 night in April.
