Review summary

Horrible on and of. Cruise itself was great. Wonderful crew. They couldn’t do enough for you.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Horrible. People being helped by fire dept. Celebrity decided to test all passengers for COVID prior to boarding. Hours standing in the hot sun.

Ship experiences

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was the best I’ve had for over 20 cruises.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabins. Lots of room.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Horrible. Poor planning. Docked at different pier than embarkation. No shuttle coordination to garage at embarkation pier.

And did you you all have a medical emergency which caused late arrival back into port. So sorry those involved. Unfortunate circumstances for sure. Bright side is you got a few extra hrs on ship on last day which normally wouldn’t be the case.

Wow, we'll be embarking in less than a month. We've been emailed about presenting negative covid test, so hopefully we won't run into that same issue.

Yea I thought the CDC made them test at the last minute, or perhaps it was just the pressure from the Delta variant. I'm sure it was annoying but you got a $200 onboard credit so I'd be ok with it

Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you enjoyed your cruise, in spite of the embarkation and debarkation.🚢

Thanks for the review. Glad you had a great cruise. Getting on and off the ship has always been the worst part of a cruise for me. And that was pre Covid.

The requirement for a COVID test for all passengers, including those vaccinated, was emailed to passengers the day before boarding. So yes, I do blame them for horrible execution.

To be fair everything with covid is changing pretty much everyday and they just recently said that you needed to provide a negative covid test from 3 days prior so the fact that they gave you covid tests isn’t super surprising.

Covid protocols are changing the rules daily. You really can't fault them for that.
