Review summary

This was our 5th Celebrity cruise but our 1st time sailing the Edge. It is a beautiful ship. We were a bit disappointed in the shopping choices on the ship. Coach, Tiffany's, Cartier are just a few of the choices in addition to watch and jewelry shops. We didn't try any speciality dining but the food was very good in all the main dining rooms. We did have lunch a couple times in Eden and that was also very good. One of the highlights of this cruise was participating in the vow renewal on Valentine's Day. It was also our Anniversary. As always, our biggest complaint is that the week went by too quick and we are back to reality.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at the port at about 1045 and after a few quick questions we walked right onboard

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good. We ate in all the main dining rooms and service was a bit slow in all of them. We expect 1.5- 2 hours for dinner but it was much longer than that.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were not a lot of activities but the highlight for us was the vow renewal on Valentine's Day. It was our Anniversary so we definitely participated.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
We were very disappointed. There seemed to be a lot of comedy shows. We would have liked more variety.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was wonderful! Service in dining room was slow. We waited a long time for drinks. We were almost always done with our dessert before our coffee arrived.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was absolutely beautiful!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We very much enjoyed the infinite balcony. It made our cabin feel so much bigger. We had plenty of storage. We also brought magnetic hooks which turned out to be great for hanging our hats, backpacks and robes.

Ship tip

Don't expect to get a seat near the pool unless you are there very early morning. If you want a semi quiet place to lay in a lounge chair, I recoomend the top deck back by the resort. We had sun and shade and it was not crowded at all.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
We love St. MAARTEN. We took a ship excursion to the beach. The beach was nice with chairs included. We paid $5 for a sun umbrella. Lunch was included and it was very good.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
We went on a ship excursion to the Gorda Baths. It was very crowded but we are still glad we went.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
We always enjoy Old San JuanWe just walked around for a bit seeing how it 330pm when we docked

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We walked right off the ship.
