Review summary

As we have been to and stayed on this island many times in the past, it’s very sad to see the devastation that the two year ago hurricane has caused. Hope it gets back to where it was soon.

The Theatre

5 out of 5

Don’t walk in late to any comedian’s show or you’ll be sorry. At least you’ll get a quick recap of what’s happened to that point. For most shows it’s a good idea to arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early to get the seats of choice.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
In my opinion, Eden and The Club should not be used for certain shows as the seating capacity is not sufficient and sight angles are poor. Operation of windows is controlled by ship’s captain which explains why we were three hours late in arriving San Juan.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom attendant was awesome. Only criticism is that cushion on sofa was stained upon arrival. We brought this to attendant’s attention and he had it cleaned and returned the next day.

Ship tip

Don’t eat anything for three days prior to the cruise.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

1 out of 5
Ship arrived more than three hours late because the captain had to control each of the over 1,000 windows in the rooms with infinite verandas. Celebrity needs to plan better to ensure that debarkation at this port makes sense.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Infinite verandas have windows that can be opened or closed by the occupant, but their use is controlled by the ship’s captain depending on a variety of factors.

What do you mean the Captain had to control the windows?

Great time. Review didn’t line up the way I intended. Island I was referring to in first part of review is St. Maarten
