The cruise itself was delightful but the itinerary was not that interesting. We knew that when we booked the cruise and chose to enjoy the ship and the experience on board.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had assigned times to stagger embarkation and it was smooth. We needed to show vaccination and testing documentation. Specific workers at the port took care of that so it was just another step in the process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
For dinner and breakfast we dined exclusively at Blu. One seven previous Celebrity cruises the food and service has always been excellent in this restaurant. This time the passenger to crew ratio was a factor in even more personal attention. Everyone knew our names and wine preference the second night. And I joked with one crew member in the morning that he was my magic coffer deliverer. The moment I drained the (small) cup he was there with a refill.
Rendezvous Lounge
5 out of 5
The rotating cover bands in this venue were all excellent. The bar tenders and servers were attentive and friendly. They kept the refills coming!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Our favorite activity on board is Silent Disco and that was offered three times. This cruise line caters to adults anyway and with the various covid restrictions we saw zero children on the ship. The pool and fitness center were not crowded. I had the Persian Garden entirely to myself one afternoon.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They had shows every night but I only attended one night to see the comedian. Music in Rendezvous was consistently good with a rotation of cover bands. We also enjoyed the solo performers in the Sunset Bar.
Children's Programs
I don't have kids.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I wish I could rate this 6 stars. The attentiveness, friendliness and quality of the staff was excellent. Part of that was the 30% capacity but most of it was the high standard of excellence we have always found on Celebrity cruises.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Cleanliness was extraordinary. We like the design of this M-class ship better than S-class, mainly for the Rendezvous lounge on deck four. The Constellation is in need of an update, though. It may go to dry dock soon.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were in Aqua Class on a hump cabin. That's where the ship juts out a little and gave us the typical rectangle balcony with an extra bit shaped like a pie. It felt really roomy. A redesign of the cabin makes it feel a little more spacious but also cut our some nooks and crannies for storage.
Ship tip
Look at the ship day planner to make sure you check out Silent Disco.
This port was substituted for San Juan and we were disappointed. Key West is fin at night but docking during the day did not present opportunities to enjoy the city.
