The Century is an older ship and one of the smallest in the Celebrity Fleet. You can tell that the ship is in need of a good update just by looking at small things like the number of light bulbs in the ceiling lights in the Theatre in Deck 7 that are out and in need of replacement. The toilet bowl in our cabin was discolored with a black ring around the bottom of the bowl. This small item again tells me that the ship is in need of an upgrade.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality was not as good as other Celebrity ships. Food at times was prepared with way too much salt\, not a good thing for a crowd of mostly elderly passengers. A lack of fresh flowers on the tables is another clue that Celebrity is cutting corners.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
For the most part the evening entertainment was nothing more than a bad high school musical review. Of all of the shows we went to over the 15 nights there were only 3 that we totally enjoyced.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff on the ship could not have been more personable and friendly.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
You get what you pay for. Our stateroom was fine as we knew it would be small\, but it was comfortable. Again the stained ring around the bottom of the toilet bowl told me that the ship is in need of a major upgrade and cleaning.

Pros: Getting away from the real world for 15 days!

Cons: The decline in food quality onboard Celebrity.

Recommends Celebrity Century? No.
